Decorative flake flooring combines the durability of a resin base coat with coloured vinyl flakes broadcast across the surface before sealing — creating a striking, textured finish available in virtually unlimited colour combinations. The result looks far more considered than painted concrete and is considerably more hard-wearing.
The system starts with a coloured epoxy base coat applied to the prepared substrate. Vinyl flakes — in blends ranging from subtle earth tones to bold statement mixes — are scattered across the wet resin and allowed to cure. Excess flake is removed, the surface lightly sanded, and two to three clear polyurethane topcoats seal and protect the floor, providing slip resistance and UV stability.
Decorative flake is equally at home in a domestic garage and a busy retail space. It hides minor substrate imperfections better than solid-colour systems, and its textured surface is naturally slip-resistant without additional additives. Prep, repair and all topcoats are included in every quote.
