Polyurethane (PU) flooring is the system of choice wherever a floor must handle not just heavy use but extreme conditions. PU is tougher and more flexible than standard epoxy, giving it superior resistance to thermal shock, heavy impact and aggressive chemicals — making it the preferred specification for demanding commercial and industrial environments.
PMC installs both water-based and solvent-free PU systems, including cementitious polyurethane hybrids for food and drink facilities. These systems are typically applied at 6–9mm, creating a monolithic floor that withstands forklift traffic, steam cleaning, and repeated temperature cycling from -40°C to +100°C without cracking or de-bonding.
As with all resin systems, preparation is the foundation. We mechanically profile the substrate, carry out any repairs and damp-proof as needed, apply a moisture-tolerant primer, and then build the PU system to the required specification. Anti-slip textures, RAL colour matching, and line marking are available across the range.
